1、 Type A (Amplitude)
A type for the amplitude modulation type, the display is a curve of amplitude over time, rather than the image.
Amplitude to show the strength of the tissue echo signal, has been rarely used.
2
、 Type B (Brightness)
B-type for gray-scale modulation type, to the brightness of the intensity of the tissue echo signal strength, and the use of multi-beam scanning method, the scanning line will be composed of two-dimensional grayscale image.

B-type display is a two-dimensional cross-sectional image, real-time display of tissue structure, image intuitive, widely used in many areas of disease diagnosis. It is also the most widely used in clinical practice.
3
、 M-type (Motion)
M-mode is to show the intensity of the tissue echo signal by the intensity of the brightness, and at the same time, expand on the time axis to show the movement of these light points, reflecting the one-dimensional tissue structure and movement information.
M-ultrasound is mainly applied to the examination of cardiovascular system, used to analyze the movement amplitude of the heart and large blood vessels, to dynamically understand the morphology, structure and functional status of the cardiovascular system, and to obtain the corresponding vascular physiological or pathological technical indicators.
4
、 C-type(color)
Color Flow Mapping (CFM), real-time color flow imaging superimposed on a two-dimensional sonogram. Each colored dot represents the average value of blood flow in a small area.

The different colors represent the speed of blood flow and the different detection modes, which can visualize the dynamics of blood flow.
Usually, red color indicates the direction of blood flow toward the probe, and blue color indicates the direction of blood flow away from the probe.
5
、 D-type (Doppler)
D-mode is a diagnostic ultrasound method, also known as Doppler ultrasound, specifically used to detect blood flow and organ activity.

Doppler ultrasound is used to detect the hemodynamic status of the heart and blood vessels.
Clinical applications of ultrasound Doppler include pulsed Doppler (PW), continuous Doppler (CW) and color Doppler flow imaging (CBFI).
